Stevens Point City Transit Dept.
For people with disabilities and senior citizens who need assistance to learn how to get around town independently
If you live in Portage or a surrounding County and think someone you know could learn to use the Stevens Point City Bus system with some specialized training and support!
You might want to try the Stevens Point Travel Trainer, Marlene Pohl.
Marlene has a lot of experience working with many diverse learning styles and can work individually with clients to achieve their independence in getting places they need to go. Independent travel is an essential skill for anyone who hopes to reduce their dependence on others. If you think this free service may be right for someone you know, give Marlene a call at 715-342-4831
Standard bus fares do apply during training. Seniors and people with disabilities may apply for a reduced fare.
